GoFind Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading facilities services company to recruit an experienced Gas Engineer to join their expanding team based in the Staffordshire area.

We are recruiting an experienced Gas Engineer (Service & Breakdown Specialist) to join a leading Facilities Management company, supporting a portfolio of well known national brands commercial and public sector sites. This is a mobile role focused on reactive breakdowns, fault-finding, and planned maintenance of gas-fired and mechanical plant across commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Work independently and confidently across heating, plumbing, hot water, and gas systems.
  • Carry out reactive maintenance and emergency breakdown response.
  • Complete PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) works on gas appliances and heating plant.
  • Work on boilers, burners, pipework, valves, and associated control systems.
  • Undertake gas safety inspections and compliance checks.
  • Accurately complete job sheets, compliance documentation, and certification.
  • Liaise with site contacts and FM supervisors to plan and prioritise works.
  • Ensure all work meets current industry regulations, health & safety, and company standards.
  • Take part in on-call rota where required.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Gas Safe registration (Commercial and/or Domestic)
  • Hold relevant domestic gas qualifications as a minimum (e.g. CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, MET1, CPA1) - They can provide the rest.
  • Proven experience in a facilities management or commercial maintenance environment
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Full UK driving licence

What’s on Offer:

  • Competitive basic annual salary of £38,400 - £43,500.
  • Realistic OTE of £55,000
  • 42.5-hour base week.
