Here at GoFind Recruitment, we are thrilled to be representing a reputable and expanding sheet metal manufacturing business based in Lytham St Annes, in their search for a skilled Laser & Machine Operator to join their growing production team!

Due to increased demand and continued investment in cutting-edge machinery, they are looking for an experienced Operator who can confidently run CNC laser equipment, punch presses, and other fabrication machinery. Roles & Responsibilities (But not limited to):

• Operate CNC flatbed lasers and punch presses to produce precise sheet metal components.
• Run a variety of manual and automated machinery to manufacture both standard and bespoke products.
• Maintain excellent quality standards, carrying out regular checks to ensure all output meets specification.
• Work closely with Supervisors, Managers, and Quality Control teams to communicate progress, issues, and improvements.
• Follow internal processes and complete all required production documentation accurately.
• Keep your workstation clean, organised, and compliant with Health & Safety requirements.
• Adhere to safety procedures at all times and wear the correct PPE.
• Support colleagues when required and contribute positively to team objectives.

Experience / Knowledge:

• Previous experience in engineering or sheet metal manufacturing.
• Competent in operating CNC machinery (ideally Trumpf or Mazak).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing practices and 5S principles.
• Basic IT literacy for recording and completing documentation.
• FLT licence desirable, but not essential.

• Able to work independently and under pressure to meet production deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Commercially aware with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workload efficiently.
• A proactive team player with a positive attitude.

Benefits:

• Competitive pay rate: £13.00 – £16.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
• Approx. 37.5 hours per week, typically over 4 days
