Here at GoFind Recruitment, we are delighted to be representing a reputable and forward-thinking sheet metal manufacturing business based in Lytham St Annes in their search for an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator to join their expanding production team!

Due to sustained growth and continued investment in their manufacturing capabilities, they are seeking a skilled and dedicated Press Brake Operator who has strong experience producing high-quality sheet metal components using CNC machinery.

This role plays a key part in maintaining exceptional production standards, ensuring safety and quality procedures are followed at all times, and contributing to the smooth running of the manufacturing department.

Roles & Responsibilities (But not limited to):

  • Set and operate CNC Press Brakes to produce both standard and bespoke sheet metal components.
  • Carry out regular quality checks to ensure all products meet exact specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with Supervisors, Managers, and Quality Control teams regarding production progress, quality concerns, and H&S matters.
  • Follow internal processes and complete all production documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workstation in line with company standards.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and ensure correct PPE is worn at all times.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of lean manufacturing.

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Prior experience in engineering-based sheet metal production.
  • Strong, proven ability to set and operate CNC Press Brakes (Trumpf experience highly desirable).
  • Confident using measuring tools with high accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Awareness of lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
  • Basic IT skills for completing production documentation.

  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to organise and manage own workload.
  • A proactive, supportive team player who helps drive efficiency and high standards.
