Warehouse Operative

GoFind Recruitment are proud to be working with a trusted manufacturer and supplier of high-quality chemical products, in their search for a Warehouse Operative based at their busy warehouse & office space in Thornton - Cleveleys, Blackpool.

This is an initial 6 months fixed term contract, with a view to a permanent contract.

Reporting to the Senior Warehouse Operative, you will be instrumental in supporting both their production and warehouse operations. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in ensuring our manufacturing processes run smoothly and that products are safely stored and dispatched to their customers.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Assisting in the production, blending, and packaging of chemical products in line with company procedures and safety standards
  • Accurately labelling, handling, and storing materials and finished goods
  • Carrying out warehouse duties including stock checks, picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
  • Operating equipment such as forklifts and production machinery (training provided if required)
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant working environment in line with health & safety and COSHH regulations
  • Following quality control procedures to ensure product consistency and compliance

Person Specification / Requirements:

  • Previous strong experience in a warehouse role within manufacturing or chemical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety practices and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Valid forklift licence essential.
  • Good IT and systems skills for stock control and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently in a stand-alone or senior capacity.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
