Senior Accountant

Type: Full Time

GoFind Recruitment are working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice looking to appoint an experienced Senior Accountant to join their expanding team at their offices in Fleetwood.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated practice professional seeking long-term progression, flexible working, and exposure to a varied client portfolio.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client relationships, supporting junior staff, and delivering high-quality accounting and audit services across a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • Preparation and review of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
  • Managing a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
  • Supporting and leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Preparation and review of corporation tax returns and management accounts
  • Assisting clients with financial queries and providing commercial support
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members
  • Liaising with partners and senior management on client matters
  • Ensuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines
  • Supporting process improvements and maintaining compliance standards

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment
  • Strong auditing experience is essential
  • ACA / ACCA part-qualified, qualified by experience, or fully qualified
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Ability to manage workload independently and work within a team
  • Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office
