This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring chef looking to develop their culinary skills within a professional kitchen environment, working alongside experienced chefs who are committed to delivering exceptional food and service.

The Role

As a Commis Chef, you will play an important role in supporting the kitchen brigade, assisting with food preparation, basic cooking duties and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently during service.

Key Responsibilities (But not limited to)

  • )Assist with the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes
  • Prepare vegetables, meats, fish and other ingredients for service
  • Support Chef de Partie, Sous Chefs and Head Chefs with daily kitchen operations
  • Ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest standards
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety practices
  • Help with stock rotation, deliveries and inventory control
  • Keep workstations clean, organised and fully sanitised
  • Minimise food waste and maintain portion control standards
  • Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team during busy service periods
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop culinary skills across different kitchen sections.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential
  • Passion for food and hospitality
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
  • Willingness to learn and progress within the culinary industry.
