Food and Beverage Manager

This impressive venue hosts a varied programme of live music, comedy, entertainment, corporate events, private functions and banqueting, welcoming large numbers of guests throughout the year.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys a hands-on, fast-paced environment and wants to take real ownership of the food, beverage and customer experience operation.
The position will initially be offered on a 3-month agreement, with a genuine opportunity to become permanent for the right person.
The Role
As Food & Beverage Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day management and development of the venue’s food and beverage operation, covering bars, catering, banqueting and hospitality during shows and events.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Leading bar, catering, banqueting and event teams
- Planning rotas and staffing levels around a busy events calendar
- Managing F&B delivery across live shows, functions and events
- Recruiting, training and developing hospitality staff
- Managing team performance and maintaining high operational standards
- Managing stock levels, rotation, wastage and stocktaking
- Monitoring budgets, sales performance and operational costs
- Maintaining excellent customer service and guest experience standards
- Ensuring licensing, food hygiene and Health & Safety compliance
- Overseeing tills, cash/card procedures and event income reconciliation
- Supporting private hires and wider commercial growth
- Identifying opportunities to improve service, efficiency and financial performance
This is a commercially focused position, with responsibility for wet and dry budgets and an operation achieving sales in excess of £350,000.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced hospitality professional who is confident taking ownership of a busy F&B operation and leading from the front.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Previous Food & Beverage, Hospitality, Bar or Venue Management experience
- Experience within a busy events, entertainment, hotel or large hospitality environment
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Experience managing rotas and hospitality/event teams
- Experience managing budgets, stock and operational costs
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of F&B profitability
- Strong knowledge of licensing and hospitality compliance
- A hands-on management style
- Excellent customer service standards
- The ability to remain organised and calm during busy, high-volume events
- Personal Licence Holder experience would be particularly advantageous

Working Hours
This is a 37-hour-per-week position. Due to the nature of the venue and its events programme, flexibility will be required, including evening, weekend and Bank Holiday working when required.
