Front of House Supervisor
GoFind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a new client in Blackburn and is recruiting for a Front of House Supervisor to join a well-established entertainment and events venue on a permanent basis.
This is a varied, hands-on position supporting the successful delivery of live shows and events, helping ensure the venue is prepared, welcoming, safe and ready to provide an excellent experience for every visitor.
You’ll work closely with the wider venue management team while supervising Front of House staff, stewards and venue assistants during events.
The Role
This isn't a purely office-based supervisory role. You'll be visible across the venue, supporting events from preparation through to closing and ensuring everything runs smoothly from a Front of House perspective.
Key responsibilities But not limited to):
- Supervising Front of House staff, stewards and venue assistants
- Supporting the successful delivery of live shows and events
- Creating rotas and ensuring appropriate staffing for events
- Ensuring venue areas are clean, prepared and ready before performances
- Taking supervisory responsibility for Front of House operations during events
- Supporting opening and closing procedures
- Responding to customer enquiries and delivering excellent visitor service
- Ensuring public safety and compliance with Health & Safety procedures
- Supporting event stewarding and customer management
- Coordinating orders, deliveries and general operational administration
- Monitoring and improving customer service standards
- Reporting maintenance, equipment or venue issues
- Supporting venue set-up, cleaning and minor maintenance requirements when needed
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with a strong customer-service mindset who is comfortable taking responsibility within a busy entertainment, events or hospitality environment.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Previous Front of House, hospitality, events or venue experience
- Experience supervising or coordinating a small team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Confidence working within busy public-facing events
- Good organisational and rota-planning skills
- A practical, hands-on approach
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety and public safety
- Ability to remain calm and make confident decisions during busy events
- Flexibility around working hours
- Ability to drive would be advantageous due to travel between venues

Working Hours
This role operates on annualised hours due to the nature of the events calendar. Flexibility is essential, with late-night, weekend and Bank Holiday working forming part of the position.
