Business Development Manager

With a reputation for innovation and customer focus, they are now looking to expand their team with a driven and ambitious Business Development Executive based at their offices in Morecambe.
The Role
As their new Business Development Executive, you will play a key role in driving growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and promoting the company’s full suite of metering services. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for sales and account development to join a growing organisation in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Develop and execute strategies to generate new business opportunities within the energy and utilities sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Promote and present metering services, ensuring a clear understanding of value and benefits.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation through to closing deals.
- Maintain accurate records of activity and pipeline using CRM systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth client onboarding and service delivery process.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a business development, sales, or account management role (energy/utilities background desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
- Confident presenting to clients and tailoring solutions to meet their needs.
- Full UK driving licence (some client visits may be required).
