Project Manager – Technical Manufacturing

With a growing portfolio of projects across the UK and Ireland, the business is now looking for a Project Manager to join its diverse team and take ownership of projects from initial order through to manufacture, delivery and installation support.

The Role
As Project Manager, you'll become a key link between customers, contractors, site teams and the internal production operation.
You'll manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring everything is coordinated correctly from order through to manufacture and delivery. You'll review drawings and project information, coordinate manufacturing requirements, monitor programmes and work closely with customers and installers to ensure projects progress smoothly.
The role offers an excellent combination of project management, technical coordination, manufacturing and customer interaction, making it ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and seeing projects progress from order through to completion.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Manage projects from order through to manufacture, delivery and installation support
- Act as the main point of contact for customers, contractors and site teams
- Review drawings, orders and project information, ensuring everything is accurate before manufacture
- Coordinate closely with production and logistics teams to keep projects on schedule
- Monitor project programmes, manufacturing requirements and delivery deadlines
- Coordinate site measures and communicate requirements accurately to the relevant teams
- Learn and use Autodesk Camduct to prepare ductwork for CNC manufacture – full training provided
- Read and interpret technical drawings, dimensions and ductwork requirements
- Provide technical and project support to customers and installers
- Identify and resolve issues quickly to minimise project delays
- Maintain accurate project records, schedules and documentation
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while taking ownership from start to completion
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience working with ductwork within manufacturing and installation is essential
- Experience managing or coordinating projects, orders or technical work
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Confidence working with computers and learning new software
- The ability to read and understand technical drawings or dimensions
- A practical approach to problem solving
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Confidence communicating with customers, contractors and internal teams
- The initiative to identify issues and take ownership of resolving them
- A genuine willingness to learn and develop specialist technical knowledge
